Blue Ridge Gents Club Financial Estate Planner James Davidson teaches Gents about Financial Literacy

The BRE Gents had the honor of having financial and estate planner James Davidson teach our Gents about financial literacy. They learned about saving, investing, trust and respect. He did an awesome job. We finished the day discussing service, respect, and responsibility. Thank you, Mr. Davidson, for sharing your wealth of knowledge with our Gents.

James Davidson was raised in both Sugar Land and Missouri City, Texas, having gone to elementary and middle school here and graduated from John Foster Dulles High School. The education he received from this school district propelled him through his undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky and brought him to the University of Houston for his masters’ degree. James’ Masters Degree in Public Administration forces him to analyze each situation independently and provide realistic solutions to presented challenges.

James has been an active participant in his community, serving on the University of Houston MPA Program Marketing Committee, apart of Class II of the Houston Black Leadership Institute and attending local graduate chapter meetings of his dear Fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha. He attends The Fort Bend Church located in Sugar Land, Texas, where he is a member of the Men of the Bend Ministry.

A former member of the month, James has been active with the Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals since the fall of 2012 and is the current Civic Engagement Chair. As Civic Engagement Chair, James is charged with carrying the torch for advocacy and creating an atmosphere where committee members & the community at large thrive in diversity of thought & action towards the common goal of social justice and economic development.
